The guardianship process can be long and intimidating. As a Legal Document Preparer, I assist those who wish to self-petition the court for legal guardianship of adults with special needs.

Legal Document Preparers are certified by the Arizona Supreme Court to provide legal document preparation for individuals not represented by counsel. Although I cannot provide you with legal advice, I will properly prepare legal documents to your specifications and in accordance with all applicable statutes and Arizona Court Rules. I also network with attorneys within Pima County, and can offer referrals as requested.

My service includes the following:

• Provide instructions for the mandatory training.
• Coordinate the Report of the Medical Examiner.
• Prepare and file all required documents to self-petition for guardianship with the Pima County clerk of the Superior Court.
• Organize documents for the court hearing.
• Provide instructions related to future reporting requirements imposed by the court.
